Asia/Middle East Student Destinations (ASID) Report 2013

New insights to help make your course portfolio appeal to students from Asia and the Middle East

Our ASID report includes analysis of the most up to date student enrolment data from the 5 main ‘western’ study destinations attracting students from Asia and the Middle East – The UK, US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

In addition we are surveying prospective international students from Asia and the Middle East who are considering study options in the above countries to further investigate their motivations and decision making behind their subject and course choices.

Interim findings from the survey to date suggest that degree title is considered to be important to the students and of perceived importance to employers. Where possible, ASID analysis will be at program level as well as broader subject level to provide the most detailed insights as to the key titles/themes attracting students from these regions of the world.

This research is being featured at British Council Going Global 2013 Conference in Dubai, UAE in March.
