Syndicated Market Research

We understand the cost of international market research can be a barrier for educational institutions.

The Knowledge Partnership Asia, through our research network, offers subscription based syndicated research topics of wider interest to internationally focused institutions.

We conduct syndicated research projects in Asia, Middle East, North Africa, North America, and South America.

In 2012/13, syndicated research topics, complete with report production, will include:

1. Co-Branding

Investigating the impact of co-branding (e.g. naming buildings, advising on courses e.g. Saudi Aramco, and joint promotion e.g. Manchester United.) on the perceptions of students/prospective applicants, and external stakeholders such as companies. How do different types of co-branding impact on the reputation of a university?

2. What makes a university world class?

What are the indicators that an institution needs to emphasise to make it world class, according to applicants/students/key influencers?

3. Increasing tuition fees – understanding the variables that allow a program to be offered at a maximum price.

We will investigate variables that impact on the willingness of applicants to pay an increased tuition fee (e.g. title of course, ranking of university, employer/institution partners, study visit opportunities etc).

4. How to successfully launch niche, new programs internationally.

As universities move into diversifying international intake and increasing the spread of international students across academic schools, when should a niche program be launched and how?

5. University Choice among Potential PhD students.

In major prospective international recruitment markets, how do prospective PhD students choose and why? What are the key influencers in university selection? How do they network to develop careers?

6. Understanding international student choice in emerging markets

We plan to identify and segment the motivations, expectations of prospective students in emerging international student markets – Philippines, Indonesia, Brazil and Chile.
