On Thursday 31st May, a team of us from The Knowledge Partnership braved the Yorkshire Three Peaks on a blissfully sunny day. Despite the sunburn this inevitably brought, we had a great time taking in the sights, including the picture-perfect Ribblehead Viaduct where we stopped for a halfway picnic.
In total, the walk took us a gruelling 13 hours and we tackled some tricky ascents/descents along the way. But morale was high, and at the top of each peak took a selfie snap of ourselves in our Mencap t-shirts, reminding us each time why the challenge was so important (and why we must keep going!).
We’re incredibly proud to have raised a total of £695 from the challenge, bringing our fundraising total for Leeds Mencap to over £1,000! Thank you to everybody who sponsored us so far. If you are interested in donating to this brilliant cause, please click here.
We look forward to conjuring up ideas for our next challenge.
