Integrated Communications Reviews
We review the communication functions of universities and education agencies. This work is typically bespoke in nature, responding to each individual brief. It usually includes an evaluation of the efficacy of the whole system - planning and strategy, capacity, structures, the impact of the communications activity, and resources relative to the objectives set.
Reviews are often based on professional analysis but can also include stakeholder and internal client perceptions, media analysis, benchmarking against peers and appraising individual communication channels.

Website Review
We have created a framework for benchmarking university websites relative to a peer set and used this with over 150 websites worldwide. The scope of this professional assessment can be adjusted to meet specific client needs and can be supplemented with user research engaging various audiences (in association with Opinionpanel Research for student and graduate related audiences).
Prospectus Review
A periodic evaluation of the prospectus is now commonplace. This can incorporate various approaches including:
- Independent feedback from internal clients such as programme leaders
- Target audience research (prospective undergraduates and postgraduates)
- Professional appraisal and benchmarking (including with overseas competitors) cross referencing your prospectus against the key choice factors used by your students (Source: Higher Expectations)
Media Analysis
We specialise in the evaluation of online media coverage of universities, capturing the coverage of your university and that of a benchmark set over a specified evaluation period. This is then analysed using a variety of qualitative variables (e.g. tone, likely impact, fit with key positioning messages etc) and quantitative metrics (e.g. weighted reach of the media outlet).
