Further Education
Basingstoke College were faced with performance issues with their marketing manager and on the termination of the appointment wanted a period of consolidation before launching into a new appointment. TKP supplied a highly experienced FE marketer who hit the ground running to manage the day to day immediacies whilst undertaking a strategic review of the college’s marketing strategy. The four month appointment saw the interim manager manage the re-brand of the organisation which was already underway, run a successful summer recruitment campaign, advise on the restructuring of the department, manage the appointment of the new marketing manager and the on-going mentoring of the new manager to maintain strategic focus. In this condensed period of activity our interim also advised on a re-positioning strategy for the College, which now forms the backbone of the Marketing Strategy. She also presented the strategy to the Governing body securing the confidence of the board. She has been retained by the College in an advisory capacity to help maintain strategic focus of the marketing function.
Fiona from The Knowledge Partnership joined us in the summer as interim director to completely overhaul our marketing function and help us implement our new branding. She quickly became a key team member managing day-to-day operations such as the summer campaign and prospectus production, alongside developing a new positioning strategy for the college. She provided leadership for the department during the transition and recruited and mentored our new manager who has been given a clear framework to move forward with. We were delighted with her performance and look forward to maintaining an ongoing relationship.
