SubjectView UK Market Reports
Now in their fifth year, our SubjectView reports continue to be in high demand across the sector. The reports provide a broad overview of a subject market with a detailed analysis of the profile and recent trends across first degree and postgraduate taught study.
We have combined a number of datasets including UCAS, HESA, NSS, JCQ, The Data Service and OpinionPanel’s Higher Expectations survey of new students.
SubjectView reports are based on JACS principal subjects set in the context of the subject group e.g. Civil Engineering within Engineering. In addition we offer extra analysis at the more detailed 4-digit JACS level (e.g. Construction Management within Civil Engineering).
A SubjectView report will deliver a comprehensive overview of a principal subject such as Complementary Medicine and also provide data on the more specialist fields such as Chiropractic Study.

The standardised report format enables a quick turnaround whilst still allowing for a degree of customisation – each report contains information specific to your university’s region and where applicable your institution is included in tables (for benchmarking purposes).

SubjectView International Market Reports provide an in-depth overview of the volume and trends in international student markets. This includes identification of the key markets and the leading institutions for international recruitment, alongside a focus on the optimal course titling to attract overseas students. Subject specific reports can be ordered for the EU market or Overseas International.
Engaging the use of our Portfolio Enrolment and Student Profile database (PESP) allows us to drill further into the course activity within subjects, providing an extension to the more broad overview that SubjectView reports provide.
