Ishan joined the World 100 in 2021, bringing over 15 years of experience in the Higher Education sector. After completing BA and MA degrees at the University of Warwick, he went on to receive a PhD in International Relations from the University of Sussex in 2013. Ishan began his HE career in research, teaching and curriculum development, before moving into senior roles with regulatory, commercial and strategic responsibilities. He has worked in both the public and private HE sector, and led on widening participation and curriculum development projects in both the UK and international markets. Ishan is passionate about the development of transnational higher education and empowering opportunities for study for all, and closely follows the evolution of HE policy and strategy across different regions. As a keen advocate of lifelong learning, he is undertaking professional certification in data science and analysis with IBM, aiming to apply techniques of machine learning and artificial intelligence to higher education research and strategy. Ishan lives in Cambridge, and is a fan of Middlesex Cricket Club, Queens Park Rangers FC and is always keen to try out new restaurants and gastropubs.
